Pollution
As consumers worldwide buy more clothes, the growing market for cheap items and new styles is taking a toll on the environment. On average, people bought 60% more garments in 2014 than they did in 2000.
We have envisioned a funky app for adding your wardrobe inventory, style collaboration with friends & family, peers voting system, becoming fashion guru with points & awards, plus an easy way to borrow, sell, or donate clothes.
The Essentials
Adding your clothes to the app will help you organize, and allow you to easily decide what to wear.
Friends can comment and suggest your tomorrow's outfit, even borrow you items for that perfect style.
Why spending money on additional clothes which also pollute Earth, it's time to be aware and get creative.
The clothing is one of the second most polluting industries in the world. The production of textiles - of which clothing makes up roughly 60% - releases over a billion tons of greenhouse gases every year and is responsible for roughly one-fifth of global water pollution.
Stylle app will allow you to add images of your wardrobe, which will use to put together different looks for you automatically. It will also provide inspiration on how to style what you have, matching what is currently trendy.
If that is not enough, it will allow you to connect with your friends and family and allow them to give you suggestions on what to wear. They might have a perfect match of tops, shoes or accessories which you can borrow.
Time to save the Earth. Once you decide the on items you don't need, it's time to donate or sell, so others can use. At the end of the day, the best tactic to reduce your fashion footprint is always going to be to buy less.
